![]() The story isn’t too bad, just predictable, and uninventive. We’ve seen the herd in the Lost World before, but this one is focused on the Ellie’s witty brothers, Crash and Eddie escaping to the Lost World to prove to the herd that they can survive on their own. The story revisits some of the concepts from the third Ice Age movie, Dawn of the Dinosaurs. Safe to say this series is thawing out… -Script & Story for Ice Age 6. But it does tell you something when the actors will not return for the next movie. Justina Machado does a good job of playing Buck’s former partner Zee, and Utkarsh Ambudkar has some great moments as the villain Orson. The new characters are fine, and you could argue that they’re better than the returning characters. The absence of the celebrities that have previously voiced these characters is noticeable and whenever these beloved characters like Manny, Ellie, Sid, or Diego are talking, you can tell that it is a voice actor trying to sound like these celebs. None of the actors from the previous Ice Age movies returned, except for Simon Pegg as Buck. We would suggest it for audiences over 5, but if your younger viewer can handle the other Ice Age movies, they can handle this one! -Characters & Acting– There was some potty humor but nothing over the top, and not as much as in previous Ice Age movies. There were not any scenes that would be too scary. ![]() Outside of some action scenes that have some tension, this movie is tame and totally appropriate for younger children.
